Cast on the gilded corner of Avenue George V and Champs Elysées, Miss Ko continues and refines a visual experiment started at Kong by designer Phillipe Starck. Japanese design meets space age futurism with a touch of Marie Antoinette, Starck combines walls strewn with street art with animated figures by David Rochline and ceiling lined in rice paper umbrellas. Amid a custom soundtrack by in-house music mixologists, guests segue between individual spaces that include an ethereal bar of what seems like absinthe-induced hallucinations, canteen style and parlor dining room that's one of the most visual dining journeys you'll find anywhere.

The Food

Most meals begin with a truly whimsical cocktail collection followed by selection of appetizers like grilled eggplant, tuna tartare and medley of vegetable tempura. A full sushi kitchen includes assortment of sashimi selections or rather mainstream collection of cut-rolls. Three tartare include a thai-inspired beef variation as well as further dishes like bo-buns or pad thai. Mains include a house version of Miso cod, Kobe burger, Asian-style ribs and beef tataki with fried shitakis.

Last Word

Forging more design territory than winning actual Michelin stars, Phillipe Starck teams with Claude Louzon to create a pan-Asian eatery along two of Paris’s most famous streets.
